FAQs
All information on this page is provided for educational purposes only. Please speak with your health care professional before undergoing any new dietary or supplement regime. If you have further questions, please book in a consultation.
Who is the Gut Health Toolkit not for?
Quick-Fix Seekers: This program isn’t a magic pill or overnight solution for digestive issues. It’s designed for individuals committed to making lasting, sustainable changes to their gut health. While you’ll experience meaningful improvements along the way, true transformation is a journey that requires patience and persistence.
Those Not Ready to Prioritize Their Health: Achieving better gut health requires a commitment to understanding your body, addressing your symptoms, and following the process. If you’re not ready to invest time, effort, and attention in your wellbeing, this may not be the right moment for your journey.
Individuals With a Current or Recent History of Disordered Eating: This program involves mindful attention to nutrition and eating patterns. If you have a current eating disorder or are in early recovery, it’s important to work with specialized support before making dietary changes. Your emotional wellbeing and relationship with food are priorities, and I recommend working with both an eating disorder specialist and a dietitian experienced in this area for appropriate care.
Whats a food diary?
A food diary is a detailed record of everything you eat and drink over a specific period of time – usually a week. It tracks eating habits, portion sizes, fluids and patterns and is a valuable tool in improving nutrition, managing medical conditions or working towards goals.
I offer an easy to use Nourishly App, as part of my package deals, to support you in your journey, which offers a wide array of benefits. However if you prefer there are alternate alternate of tracking, such as printable resources.
What is a Gut Health diary?
A Gut Health diary is an expansion on a food diary and covers aspects such as sleep patterns, exercise, stress, minset, hormone impact, medication and Stools.
I offer an easy to use Nourishly App, as part of my package deals, to support you in your journey, which offers a wide array of benefits. However if you prefer there are alternate alternate of tracking, such as printable resources.
How long until I see results?
Program success depends on personal commitment and implementation.
While most clients see significant improvements, a small percentage may experience only partial symptom relief. In these cases, additional 1:1 tailored support may be needed to achieve the desired quality of life improvements.
Sometimes, other factors can be at play i.e. SIBO, Histamine Intolerance, Bile Acid Malabsorption. Together, we’ll identify if these are affecting your journey, and I’m here to support you with additional sessions to help you achieve the digestive comfort you deserve.
Where are you based? Are you available face-to-face?
I am based in Knowle, Solihull, UK. I work predominately online so I can support you wherever you are and have worked with clients all over the world. For those who are local and prefer an in-person consultation I run a clinic at the Treatment Rooms in Knowle. We can discuss during your free 10-minute consultation how best to support you in your journey.
Whats the difference between a nutritionist and a dietitian?
Dietitians are regulated healthcare professionals who assess, diagnose, and provide treatment for dietary problems. Nutritionists, while also providing advice on food and healthy eating, often work with healthy individuals and may not have the same level of regulated training or clinical scope.
I have a restricted diet - can you still help me?
Yes – I have first hand experience of living with IBS and Coeliac disease and understand the challenges of living with a restricted diet. My approach will consider the full array of your dietary preferences/allergies/intolerances/sensitivities and are incorporated into your personalised treatment plan.
How soon can I get started?
My consultation days are Tuesday to Friday every week (holiday dependent) and I provide online support outside of these windows. Contact me to discuss your needs and I’m sure we can get you booked in for your initial consultation within a couple of weeks!
Do you take insurance patients?
Yes! I am BUPA registered, if you wish to book via your insurance provider, please provide your membership number and pre-authorisation code at time of booking.
Do I need to have taken tests (i.e. bloods) to work with you?
No – tests are not a pre-requisite to achieve great results! As part of my services, during your consultation we will discuss your symptoms, and if required, I will work with your GP to request any tests that would support your treatment plan/diagnosis.
